Christmas is the perfect time to spend with the family and there’s nothing better than cosying up watching a movie together. Trouble comes when it’s time to decide what to watch! So, here at Chocolate Clothing we’ve put together list of our favourite Christmas movies for all the family to enjoy.

The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

Charles Dickens + the Muppets = a true holiday classic. In this version of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Kermit plays the role of Bob Cratchit, with Miss Piggy as his wife and Michael Caine as his miserly employer, Ebenezer Scrooge. Classic tale of an old and bitter miser’s redemption on Christmas Eve.
Great family fun.

85 minutes. Rated PG.

The Polar Express (2004)

Tom Hanks voices multiple roles in this memorable tale about a train trip to the North Pole and the wonder of Christmas, as seen through the eyes of a young boy. Fantastic animation that brings the Christmas spirit to life.

100 minutes. Rated PG.

Home Alone (1990) & Home Alone 2 (1992)

A must-watch over Christmas with countless classic moments! Left at home accidentally while his family heads off on a Christmas vacation in Paris, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) is left to defend his home against two bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) who are taking advantage of the fact that so many families are out of town. While Home Alone 3 and 4 exacerbate the storyline, the sequel, Home Alone 2 lives up to it’s predecessor as Kevin gets on the wrong plane to New York!

Run time: 103 minutes. Rated PG.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

Jim Carrey brilliantly brings his quirky style to his role as the Grinch as he attempts to dampen the Christmas spirit for the citizens of Whoville. The characters and set remain true to the original Dr. Seuss script which really makes you feel involved throughout the film.

Elf (2003)

After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity. Great, heart-warming family comedy for kids and adults! Will Ferrell is perfectly hilarious as Buddy the elf.
